Arise and Shine Maize Millers Ltd is a private registered company dealing in agricultural produce. It was established in 2005, registered and incorporated in 2011 under Reg. No. 136057. The company has its head office and milling factory in Kawempe, Wakiso District. The company started with the aim of milling and producing grade 1 quality of maize flour and this has been its trade mark throughout the time.
Job Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading activities of the production plant from receiving of raw materials to selling of the finished product. This is a senior role at an organisation and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, managing several moving project parts simultaneously.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading project planning sessions
- Coordinating staff and internal resources
- Managing project progress and adapt work as required
- Ensuring projects meet deadlines
- Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Designing and signing off on contracts
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
- Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review
- Designing risk mitigation plan
- Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
- Optimising and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
- Securing growth opportunities and initiating new projects
- Managing large and diverse teams
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in Business Administration or its equivalent.
- Three years of experience is required
- Experience in managing teams
- Factory/Plant management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to manage high stress situations
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
- Leadership skills
- Big-picture thinking and vision
- Attention to detail
- Conflict resolution skills
