Community policing is generally every police officer’s role during one’s routine work. For specialization and accountability purposes however, some officers are designated to specifically handle police community liaison affairs at different units and levels. Consequently, in spite of the general training component in most police courses for all officers, tailor made courses are arranged for the induction and periodical updating of the personnel under the two main branches of the Community Affairs Department i.e. The Community Liaison and the Child and Family Protection Unit.
