Micro-Haem Scientifics and Medical Supplies Limited mandate is supply of high quality pharmaceutical and medical products (consumables and equipment) of latest technology in Uganda and E. Africa; Manufacture Drugs and Medical Devices/Instruments; Operate the Microhaem Medical Equipment Training School (offer training, research, capacity building programmes, establish incubation centre; collaborate with and outsource medical professionals from related training institutions globally); run curriculum that meets international standards); and engage in maintenance, servicing and repairing of medical equipment.
Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Assistant will mainly coordinate all activities required to direct and control quality. In particular, to review processes and quality requirements for individual clients and projects. To ensure those requirements are understood and implemented.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessing the facilities, procedures, practices, and training of personnel involved in the company activities, in regard to the quality management system.
- Writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Reviews the quality plan annually and recommends any revisions needed to Management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Draft and Implement and follow up on Standard Operating Procedures for all departments.
- Seeking advice from different departments and specialists and may require assistance from independent experts.
- Establishes an internal audit program and informs the Managing Director/Technical Manager of audit outcomes and recommendations.
- Establishes and monitors all processes and procedures for the quality management system;
- Resolves nonconformities.
- Ensures that action is taken in order to obtain continuous improvement of processes/activities;
- Ensures all staff have up-to-date QMS and training
- Reviews current standards and policies
- Keeps records of quality reports, statistical reviews and Relevant documents
- Ensures all Legal standards are met.
- Determines Training Needs.
- Monitors general Performance of the project and proactively suggests solutions for identified gaps.
- Write detailed bi-weekly, Monthly Reports on all the activities undertaken
- Perform any other business duties assigned by supervisors Quality Assurance Manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Training in related field.
- Background in ISO Training
- Quality Management systems
- Three years of related work experience
- IT Knowledge.
- Leadership and team working skills within own area and across the business
- Problem-solving skills
- Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
- Able to understand and identify key objectives across the business.
