Our Client, a leading international water and waste company, is looking for qualified and responsible individuals to fill different positions for a major water project in their Uganda operations
Job Summary: The Quality Control Engineer will establish and maintain fully functional quality assurance and quality control programs for the Plant by developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The position involves reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback, creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases, estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs in products and processes.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Monitor site operations and works to ensure overall construction standards are met.
- Review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics
- Tabulate, document data on routine monitoring and inspection results relating to products, processes, materials and reliabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems relating to quality control aspects.
- Advising and instructing on quality related topics and measures to minimize deficiencies.
- Educate and train staff technicians on aspects of quality concerns and activities.
- Report any discrepancies in the works to the senior engineer.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a BS/MS degree in Engineering or a related subject
- Recognized attendance of necessary industrial training courses.
- Proven experience in quality control and assessment.
- In depth knowledge of relevant quality standards and procedures, construction schedules.
- Experience in writing reports and polices for quality standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills Diligent with great attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Proven track record with contactable references
