Finance Trust Bank (FTB), a fully-fledged commercial bank in Uganda, is inviting applications for the position of a Regional Credit Monitoring and Administration Supervisor. This role is based in Kampala, Uganda, and reports to the Credit Administration Manager.

Job Summary: The Regional Credit Monitoring and Administration Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all loan processes within the region adhere to the bank’s credit policies and procedures. This includes overseeing loan disbursement, credit monitoring, compliance, and administrative tasks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Credit Files and Security Management: Ensuring proper execution and protection of securities and other documents, maintaining credit files, ensuring insurance renewals, and managing collateral documents.
  • Legal Implementation: Managing risks prior to loan disbursement and ensuring they are reduced to acceptable levels.
  • Loan Disbursement: Overseeing the loan disbursement process, ensuring compliance with policies and verifying the use of disbursed funds.
  • Credit Underwriting: Supervising the credit underwriting team to ensure efficiency and competence.
  • Credit Monitoring: Conducting daily reviews of loans in arrears, monitoring facility utilization, and ensuring compliance with loan terms.
  • Compliance, Audit, and Corrective Actions: Addressing audit issues, ensuring compliance with insurance coverage, and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Reporting: Producing regular reports on non-performing accounts, insurance policies, and loan disbursements.
  • Training: Coordinating training for credit officers and conducting sessions on credit administration functions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • A Business degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in credit operations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, with strong numerical and statistical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, and customer service orientation.
  • Flexibility to work and travel upcountry.
