APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSIONS INTO DEGREE PROGRAMMES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018.
Ruaha Catholic University (RUCU) former Ruaha University College (RUCO) invites applications from qualified Tanzanians and non-Tanzanians for admission to the degree programmes offered by the University for the academic 2017/2018.
Minimum Admission Entry Qualifications for 2017/2018

| 2 | Completed A-Level studies in 2014 and 2015 | Two Principal Passes (Two Cs) with a total of 4.0 points from Two subjects defining the admission into respective programme (Where A=5, B+=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, E=1). |
| 3 | Completed A-Level studies from 2016 | Two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points from Two Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme (Where A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1) |
| 4 | Recognition of Prior Learning qualification(RPL) | B+ Grade: where A=75-100, B+ =65-74, B=50-64, C=40-49, D=35-39, F=0-38. |
| 5 | Equivalent applicants | At least four O’-Level passes (Ds and above) or NVA Level III with less than four O level passes or equivalent foreign qualifications as established by either NECTA OR VETA ; AND |
| i)At least a GPA of 3.0 for Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6); OR | ||
| ii)Average of C for Full Technician Certificate(FTC) (Where A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 points);OR | ||
| iii)Average of B Grade for Diploma in Teacher Education OR | ||

B: SPECIFIC PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
a) Minimum Two Ds A Level (4.0) English Must Form Four OR Form Six
OR
b) The Equivalent qualifications which are:-
• A Diploma in Law …Please see the clarification on the Table above.
2. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Information Systems)
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications:
Two Principal passes in Science subjects preferably Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Biology or Geography.
(b) Equivalent Qualifications:
An appropriate Diploma….Please see the clarification on the Table above.
3. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Software Engineering)
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications:
Two Principal passes in Science subjects preferably Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Biology or Geography.
(b) Equivalent Qualifications:
An appropriate Diploma, please, see clarification on the Table above.
4. Bachelor of Arts in Education – BA(Ed), (Eng & Kisw)
Preferably with a teaching subject major in English or Kiswahili and minor in Language/Geography/ /History/ Economics. Non-language combinations are also acceptable.
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications
At least 4 “O” level passes (or three credits) one of which must be English Language; and at least two principal level passes (D and above ) at “A” level OR .
(b) Equivalent Qualification:
A Recognized Diploma in Education…. Please, see clarification on the Table above.
5. Bachelor of Science with Education (IT & Mathematics)
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications
At least 4 “O” level passes (or three credits) one of which must be Mathematics; and two Principal Level Passes in the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Geography (Mathematics is a must).
(b) Equivalent Qualification:
A Recognized Diploma in Education…Please see clarification on the Table above.
6. Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA.ED) (IT & Geograpghy)
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications
At least 4 “O” level passes (or three credits) one of which must be Geography: and two Principal Level Passes in the following subjects: Mathematics, Economics, Physics and Geography (Geography is a must)
(b) Equivalent Qualification:
A Recognized Diploma in Education…Please see clarification on the Table above.
7. Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA.ED) (IT& Economics)
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications
At least 4 “O” level passes (or three credits) and two Principal Level Passes in the following subjects: Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Commerce and Accountancy (Economics is a must).
(b) Equivalent Qualification:
A Recognized Diploma in Education….Please, see clarification on the Table above.
8. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
Direct Entry Qualifications:
a) Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) or East Africa Certificate of Education (Ordinary level) OR equivalent, with passes in 4 approved subjects, obtained prior to the sitting of ACSEE.
b) At least 2 A- level principal passes in Accountancy, Commerce, Economics or Mathematics.
Equivalent Qualifications: A Relevant Diploma….Please, see clarification on the Table above.
9. Bachelor of Accounting and Finance with Information Technology (BAFIT)
a). Direct Entry:
a) Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or East Africa Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Or equivalent with passes in 4 approved subjects, obtained prior to sitting of ACSEE.
b) At least 2 A-level principal passes (with weight at least 4.0) in Accountancy, Commerce, Economics or Mathematics.
