Theology is one of the departments in the Faculty of Social Sciences. ASUL theology has integrated courses with some aspects in other disciplines, such as: Social Works Social Administration; Development Studies; Entrepreneurial Skills and Basic Computer Application to meet the physical, moral and spiritual transformation of society. ASUL being a Faith Based Institution, its Theology Programmes are designed to produce skilled leaders or workers who will contribute to holistic growth of the Human Person with the knowledge of Salvation offered through Jesus Christ.

Mission:

Provision of Intellectual, Pastoral and Leadership Skills to Church workers for Effective Ministry and      Holistic growth.

Programmes offered:

  • Bachelor of Theology and Community Development
  • Diploma in Theology and Community Development
  • Certificate in Theology

Bachelor of Theology and Community Development

Duration of the programme: 2 years of 4 semesters for Diploma in Theology with Upper Second class; 3 years of 6 semesters for Direct Entrants from UACE or Diploma in other fields/Discipline

Entry requirements :

  1. 2 Principal passes at UACE,
  2. Diploma from a recognized Institution

Diploma in Theology and Community Development

Duration of the programme: 2 years of 4 semesters

Entry requirements :

  1. 1 Principal pass at UACE at one sitting
  2. Certificate in Theology with credit passes and above
  • Certificate in other Discipline with a pass in English Language
  1. Special Entrance English language Examination
  2. 5 Passes at UCE at one sitting

Certificate in Theology

Duration of the propgramme: 1 year of 2 semesters

  1. 3 Passes at UCE at one sitting, with a pass in English language
