This objective is met through; establishment of subsidiary and associated companies, entering into public private partnerships with any commercial, industrial or agricultural undertaking or enterprises, assisting in financing and management of undertakings promoting industrial or economic development; and promoting and facilitating research into industrial development,
Job Summary: To provide support in various Human Resource and administration functions which include; recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring, employee counseling and administration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret and advise on employment policies and labour laws.
- Plan and deliver training sessions including induction of staff.
- Participate in the implementation of Human Resource strategies, policies and programs/work plans.
- Develop and manage an efficient and effective, computerized Human Resource management system.
- In liaison with the HR & Administration manager, identify staff training needs, draw up training plans and devise mechanisms to monitor and evaluate learning activities to ensure enhanced staff performance.
- Participate in handling industrial relations issues.
- Maintain an up to date payroll database.
- Maintain employee records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the administration team to ensure excellent delivery of services.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Human Resources Management (HRM), Industrial Psychology or Social Sciences
- Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
- At least five years working experience in a relevant field
- Proficiency in computer application skills
- Knowledge of modern Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Demonstrated merit and ability in work performance
- Knowledgeable of all relevant Employment Laws
- Counseling and good negotiation skills
- Problem solving skills
- Presentation skills
- Respect the importance of confidentiality
- Good organizing skills and be able to develop plans, and forecasts
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail
- Ability to use databases, spreadsheets, word processing and accounts
