Job Title: Senior Procurement and Logistics Officer

DanChurchAid is an international NGO which has supported development and humanitarian programming in Uganda for almost 40 years. DCA works in partnership with local partners as well as undertakes direct implementation. DCA is a member ot the ACT Alliance. Our key thematic focus and competencies in Uganda lies within livelihoods and food security, humanitarian response and civil society development. A gender-inclusive rights-based approach is mainstreamed throughout all DCA projects as well as within the organization.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- B.Sc. in Procurement and Logistics or other relevant discipline.
- At least 7 years’ experience in procurement, contract management, contract administration or logistics and supply chain management.
- Proven capacity to prioritize tasks, plan and organize your own efforts to meet objectives and deadlines.
- Experience managing relationships with suppliers
- Experience in the use of procurement information systems is desirable.
- Previous experience with other local and international NGOs.
- Experience of managing IT function with basic knowledge of IT equipment management for an Organization is added advantage.
- Experience in security operations, security risk assessments, standard operating procedures, coordination with local law authorities, emergency comm., crisis management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team.
