SMMUCO Call for Application for Admission into Various Programmes 2017 – 2018
INTRODUCTION
Stefano Moshi Memorial University College (SMMUCo) is one of the Constituent Colleges of Tumaini University Makumira; located in Kilimanjaro Region. SMMUCo is owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, Northern Diocese.
In this 2017/2018 Academic Year, SMMUCo invites applications from candidates wishing to pursue studies in Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Masters programmes offered at the University College.

Applicants for Certificate programmes should be holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE). Applicants for Diploma programmes should have Certificate of Secondary Education Examination and Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or a one-year Certificate Course in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution.

Bachelor of Accountancy and Finance
Bachelor of Arts with Education
Applicants for Degree programmes should be holders of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination or holders of a Diploma Course in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution.
MODE OF DELIVERY
All programmes offered at SMMUCo are taught in both morning and evening models.
TUITION FEES REDUCTION
SMMUCo has reduced tuition fees for its programs to ensure many students have access to higher learning education. The tuition fee for Degree, Diploma and Certificate programs is Tshs 1, 280,000/= per year, Ths 910,000/= per year and Tshs 810,000/=per year respectively.
HOSTEL AND ACCOMMODATION
SMMUCo provides accommodation to students who wish to stay in the University College hostels.
TCU AND NACTE RECOGNITION
SMMUCo is registered and recognized by both Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applicants should send their applications by 30/08/2017.
Studies for Certificate, Diploma, Masters and Post-graduate programmes will commence in September 2017 and studies for degree programmes will begin on 30/10/2017.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Applicants for all programmes offered by SMMUCo are required to apply direct to the University College and not through NACTE or TCU as it used to be.
Applicants should apply online via their computers or mobile-phones with a non-refundable fee of 30,000/= Tsh or 30 USD.
Applicants may seek assistance for online application from SMMUCo by collecting and fill in an application form and submit the form to our computer technician who will help the student to apply online. Application forms can be collected from SMMUCo campuses (Masoka and Moshi Town) or at Lutheran Christian Bookshop near Moshi bus stand or download the form or apply direct through the University College website (www.smmuco.ac.tz).
