Job Summary: The Systems Developer will analyse the project operations, research, recommend and implement a system that has an ability to track project activities remotely including staff location.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise management on appropriate software programs to use in the project;
- Design, implement, manage and upgrade software programs;
- Test and evaluate new programs;
- Identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications;
- Write and implement efficient codes;
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures;
- Deploy software tools, processes and metrics;
- Training users on the use of the new software programs and answer any queries that might arise.
- Regularly update and monitor the system.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science; Software Programming and Development or related field from a recognized university.
- Three years of software development experience in an organizational setting.
- Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies
- The ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Analytical thinking
- The ability to communicate complex procedures to colleagues
- Good communication skills– both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
