UCC Diploma and Certificate Admissions March Intake 2017 – 2018

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO CERTIFICATE & DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES FOR MARCH 2017 INTAKE

The University of Dar es Salaam Computing Center (UCC) has more than ten (10) years’ experience in training middle cadre professionals in ICT sector. Since 2005 UCC was accredited by NACTE with registration NO. REG/EOS/026P to offer Certificate and Ordinary Diploma Programmes (NTA 4-6). These programmes are offered under Competence Based Education and Training (CBET) system. UCC has dedicated service to assist the applicants on applying the courses through NACTE Online Admission System (NOAS). Therefore, Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates with the following entry requirements to pursue Certificate and Diploma Programmes;

a)Certificate in Business Information Technology (One Year)

∙Certificate of Secondary Education with at least four (4) passes in non–religious subjects OR National Vocational Training Award Level III (Trade Test Grade I) from any recognized institution OR National Business Examination Certificate Stage I with two (2) passes

b)Certificate in Computing and Information Technology(One Year)

∙Certificate of Secondary Education with at least four (4) passes in non–religious subjects OR National Vocational Training Award Level III (Trade Test Grade I) from any recognized institution

c)Diploma in Business Information Technology(2 Years)

∙Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with at least one principal pass and a subsidiary or three subsidiaries. OR Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Business Administration, Accountancy, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology from any institution recognized by NACTE or equivalent qualifications

d)Diploma in Computing and Information Technology(2 years)

∙Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with at least one principla pass and a subsidiary or three subsidiaries OR Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology from any institution recognized by NACTE or equivalent qualifications

2.LOCATION AND PLACE

∙The programmes will be conducted at UCC Dar es Salaam Head office (UDSM Main campus), City Center branch and in our upcountry branches located in Mwanza, Arusha, Dodoma and Mbeya.

3.MODE OF APPLICATION:

∙All eligible applicants are required to visit our Centres in Dar es Salaam at UCC City Centre branch; Head office (UDSM Main campus); OR at UCC branches in Arusha, Dodoma, Mbeya and Mwanza for assistance to apply through NACTE Online Admission System.

∙Alternatively, you can directly apply through NACTE Online Admission System (NOAS) link of http://cas.nacte.go.tz:8080/noas/ in which the modality and procedures for application will be accessible.

∙The NACTE Central Admission system will be open for applications from 23rd January 2017 to 6th March 2017

∙The date for commencement of studies will be on 17th March 2017
