Introduction

German as one of the national languages of Namibia necessitates an academic and practical education in German language, literature and culture as well as intercultural communication. German Studies is offered for German First Language as well as Foreign Language Speakers with an appropriate school leaving certificate. Students in possession of a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies Honours have a wide variety of employment opportunities in Namibia and qualify for admission to a Master’s degree programme in German Studies.
