Introduction
To be able to take Portuguese Studies, you should normally have passed Portuguese as a First/Foreign Language with a C symbol at NSSCO level or a grade 4 at NSSCH level. Under special circumstances you may be allowed to take the subject with the permission of the Head of Department without complying with the formal admission requirements.
You can take Portuguese Studies as a major subject or a minor subject, or you can discontinue it after you have passed two of its first year courses.
