University Dar Es Salaam UDSM Promotions Press Release 1 2016 / 2017
This is to inform the University Community and the public that, the University Council at its 239th Meeting held on 22nd November, 2016 approved promotions of the following members of academic staff to professorial ranks:
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR TO PROFESSOR
Professor David Alfred Mfinanga (M): Department of Transportation and
Geotechnical Engineering, College
of Engineering and Technology (CoET).
Since his last Promotion to Associate Professor in July 2009 Professor Mfinanga has published nine (9) journals papers all of which are in international journals and authored nine (9) conference papers, and four (4) consultancy reports.
Professor Mfinanga has earned a total of 9.83 publication points
SENIOR LECTURER TO ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Dr. Egid Beatus Mubofu (M): Department of Chemistry, College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS).
Since his last Promotion to Senior Lecturer in July 2008 Dr. Mubofu has published twenty four 24 journals papers all of which are in international journals and authored two (2) Book chapters.
Dr. Mubofu has earned a total of 10.24 publication points
