University of Iringa Campus Location
To reach the campus from Iringa town, you may hire a tax at a charge between Tshs.7, 000/= and 8,000/=. You may also choose to use town buses which take the Semtema to Tumaini but this may not bring you up to the University campus unless you pay some extra money. To avoid unnecessary inconveniences, we recommend that you use taxi.
Some buses from Dar es Salaam to Mbeya and vice versa do not go through the main stand in Iringa town. Travellers who come to Iringa using these buses disembark at a place known as Ipogoro Stand, you may hire a taxi that will take you to the University campus at cost of about Tsh.10,000/= to 15,000/= depending on the negotiation.
NB: At your arrival at Iringa town main stand and on campus you will be assisted and served by mentors/peer educators who will be wearing special identification cards with the University’s logo. Please, do not accept any assistance from a person who will not be having an official identification from University of Iringa.
