Introduction
The Bachelor of Economics Degree (Honours) programme aims to produce graduates who are technically and intellectually competent in the applications of economic theories, models and techniques in day to day economic decision making processes.
Admission Criteria
This should be read in conjunction with the General Information and Regulations Prospectus.
- A candidate should be in possession of a grade 12 certificate, with a minimum of 25 points in fivesubjects on the UNAM point scale including English with at least a Csymbol; also aC symbol inMathematics is required.
- A candidate who is in possession with a minimum of 27 points in five subjectson the UNAM point scaleincluding English with at least a D symbol in Mathematics will be considered for admission.
- Admission could also be considered for persons who qualify through the Mature Age Entry Schemeupon successful completion of the relevant examinations as set out in the General Information andRegulations Prospectus.
Duration of Study
The Bachelor of Economics degree (Honours) cannot be obtained in less than FOUR years. The degree must be completed within SIX YEARS of full-time registration.
