Direct Entry: A candidate must hold at least two principal passes at Advanced level of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (U.A.C.E) or its equivalent at the same sitting. All candidates must have passed Either Economics or mathematics, Entrepreneurship as Essential Subjects at Advanced Level of UACE.Diploma Holder: A candidate must have obtained a Relevant Diploma from a recognized Institution of higher learningMature Age: Candidates who do not have any of the above qualifications will be required to take Special Mature age Entrance University examinations in aptitude and specialized knowledge. |
BACHELOR OF AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (BAMD)3 years |
Direct entry: Candidates seeking admission through this avenue must have obtained: –At least on ordinary level certificate and a credit in Mathematics in the Uganda Certificate of Education (U.C.E) Examination or its equivalent.
At least two principal passes at the advanced level in Mathematics, Economics, Biology, Agriculture, Chemistry, Physics and Geography obtained at the same sitting.
Diploma Entry Scheme
A candidate may be admitted if he/she has a national diploma or its equivalent of at least a second class standing or equivalent in agriculture, business studies and related fields from recognized institutions.
Mature Age Entry Scheme
Admission maybe granted under the mature age entry scheme after passing the appropriate mature age entry examinations accredited by NCHE/or set by the University. |
DIPLOMA IN AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DAMD) |
Diploma Entry Schemea. The U C E or its equivalent.
b. The UACE or its equivalent with at least a principal pass in Agriculture, geography, Biology, Chemistry, Physics Economics, mathematics and two subsidiary passes.
OR
a). A national certificate or its equivalent of at least a second class standing or equivalent in agriculture, agribusiness management, business studies and related fields from recognized local and International institutions.
b). Mature Age Entry Scheme. After passing the appropriate mature age entry examinations. |
BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA) (3 years) |
Direct entryTwo principal passes in either science or Arts subjects or its equivalent in the following subjects: Essential: Economics, Entrepreneurship, Sciences (Physics, Chemistry Biology) and Mathematics Relevant: Geography, Literature, Religious Studies and History. Desirable: Languages (any)
Diploma holders
Holds a Diploma in Business studies from any institution recognized by National Council for Higher Education/UNEB/UBTEB.
Mature entry students
Has passed National Council for Higher Education / Valley University of Science and Technology set Mature Age Entry Examinations. |
DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (DBA) |
Direct entry: One principal pass in either science or Arts subjects or its equivalent at Advanced level obtained at the same sitting: Preferably Economics with other two subsidiaries.Mature entry students: Must have passed National Council for Higher Education or Valley University of Science & Technology Mature Age Entry Examinations for the Diploma in Business Administration.Certificate holders in business related courses: Must possess a second class Certificate or its equivalent from recognized institutions, or a two year certificate after Ordinary level from a recognized institution verified and equated to UNEB standards. |
BACHELOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (BIT) |
Direct Entry: Candidates seeking admission through this avenue must have obtained: –i. The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent, with credits in English and Mathematics.ii. At least two principal passes at the same sitting in Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in any two subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Literature, Entrepreneurship, Technical Drawing and Fine Art).
Diploma Holders
i. At least any second Class (lower division) diploma from a recognized institution.
ii. Candidates who hold at least second class (lower division) Diploma in Computer Science and Information Technology from a recognized institution, they can transfer credits and join in the second year |
DIPLOMA OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (DIT) |
Direct Entry: Candidates seeking admission through this avenue must have obtained: –i. The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent, with credits in English and Mathematics.ii. At least one principal pass at the same sitting in Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in any subject
iii. Must have obtained a credit in mathematics at UCE.
Diploma Holders
i. At least any second Class (lower division) diploma from a recognized institution.
ii. Candidates who hold at professional qualifications of more than 200hrs of accredited training like ACCA, CCNP among.
Mature Entry: Candidates who pass a mature age entry examinations from a recognized institution. |
BACHELOR OF OFFICE MANAGEMENT AND SECRETARIAL STUDIES (BOMSS) |
(i) At least an O’level certificate has passed English and Mathematics and two advanced level principal passes in the Arts, Sciences, and Commercial subjects of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent.(ii) Has passed National Council for Higher Education / Valley University of Science & Technology set Mature Age Entry Examinations.(iii) Holds a Diploma in Secretarial Studies/ Diploma in Office Management and Secretarial Studies from an institution recognized by National Council for Higher Education.
(iv) Has an advanced certificate in Secretarial Studies with at least 5 core subjects at stage three (3). |
