The bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.
Job Summary: The Manager Infrastructure will plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets. This includes configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This role is also responsible for telephone, data center, security systems and other electronic infrastructure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations etc.
- Design and implement short and long term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
- Monitor bandwidth usage, analyze traffic patterns and volumes, and determine impact/implications of issues and thereafter make recommendations to management.
- Develop, plan/schedule maintenance activities and communicate standards for use, and security of network in a timely manner.
- Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software. Responsible for on-site and offsite data centers.
- Oversee purchases of all new IT equipment for Technical Services, by recording and taking proper inventory of all Network & infrastructure assets of the Bank.
- Ensure that substantive Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans are in place, regularly tested and updated.
- Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent network activities.
- Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality and or user base.
- Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure and conduct regular security monitoring to detect any possible intrusions.
- Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.
- Oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in the Active Directory and Email-servers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Finance Trust Bank (FTB) Manager Infrastructure job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related fields.
- Certification in CISCO Networking (CCNA) and MCSE are a must have.
- Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
- Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, and so on.
- Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.
- Experience installing network cabling and telephony systems.
- A keen attention to details.
- Ability to work long hours with minimal supervision.
- A team player with ability to supervise team members.
