Living Water International (LWI) is a global Non-Governmental organization that exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience “living water”- the gospel of Jesus Christ – which alone satisfies the deepest thirst. Living Water International Uganda (LWIU) was formed in 2009. LWIU is an affiliate of Living Water International based in Houston, Texas, USA that was founded in 1990 and currently works in over 20+ countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, and India. LWI Uganda runs an integrated Water Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) program in South Western Uganda & we partner with other like-minded organsations to provide safe drinking water, Community Mobilisation & Gospel Proclamation, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion to communities across Uganda.

Job Summary:  The Sanitation Business Manager will provide business development services under the program to small, medium and large water, sanitation, and/or health enterprises and service providers; Manage the implementation of the two innovative approaches of Lending Water/Sanitation Services (LESS) and Co-financing for School Sanitation (COSS) under the program.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The Living Water International (LWI) Sanitation Business Manager must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred) in a field related to above sectors/professions.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant working experience in a field related to above sectors/professions
  • Strong technical working knowledge and skills in a specific sector/profession is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience working with government officials, donors and private sector stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing and implementation of programs in an emergency context is preferred.
  • Prior experience with US government funded programs is preferred.
