About Compassion Project:
The Diocese of Kitgum have a strong partnership with Compassion international- Uganda in child ministry through sponsorship and home-based care. They are working in partnership with Compassion International in fulfilling the great commission as mandated by our Lord Jesus Christ in Mathew 28:16-20. This is done in a holistic approach which includes Child Development Ministry. They operate St. Barnabas Child Development Centre- Paloga Lamwo district.
Job Summary: The Project Director is to offer leadership to the other Project Staff. This will involve mentoring, coaching, supervising, coordinating and evaluating them on their assigned roles, including monitoring their attendance and taking lead in organizing staff devotions and retreats as well as spiritual activities for the children..
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ with a Christ like attitude in dealing with people.
- Act as the accounting officer for all Project Funds, ensuring that all funds are used for their intended purpose and adherence to the set policies.
- Supervise the implementation of the approved Project Plan and Budget with monthly assessments done in conjunction with other stakeholders including the children, the Church and caregivers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The candidate should preferably hold a degree in Social Sciences or Humanities
- Three years of working experience in Church/Christian’s organization.
- Age 25 – 40 years.
