Uganda Road Fund (URF) is a body corporate established by the Uganda Road Fund Act 2008, to finance routine and periodic maintenance of public roads.
Job Summary: The Logistics Assistant will provide secure and timely driving services to transport passengers and/or goods.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handling of the Uganda Road Fund vehicles operations for purposes of official URF work and be on call at all times;
- Responsibility for the cleanliness, maintenance and good mechanical condition of assigned URF vehicles;
- Effecting minor repairs to assigned URF vehicles;
- Tasked with checking the vehicle routinely and compiling the service reports;
- Entering the required data in the vehicle log book;
- Work closely with the respective heads of departments to request for fuel, utilizing the fuel, reporting on it and accounting for it;
- Run official errands including delivery of documents and letters as requested;
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda Road Fund Logistics Assistant must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education or the equivalent with training in defensive driving. Must have experience in basic motor vehicle mechanics and knowledge of office management.
- Hold a valid driving permit with classes B, DM, DL and at least five years continuous driving experience in a reputable organization.
