Job Summary: The Business Support Assistant (Programme) will carry out validity checks on documents presented by POCs and ensure the right PoCs’ biometrics are captured and verified for appropriate Assistance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support in food distribution to ensure that right PoCs are verified and served
- Assist in setting up the venue to ensure that all food and nonfood items are in place and set
- Conduct validity checks on the documents of the PoCs including the attestations letters and ration cards to ensure that PoCs get their entitled rations.
- Conducting physically verification of PoCs against their documents and household data in the food and cash logs/ manifests at all distributions.
- Follow up of the Partner to provide timely delivery of daily distribution reports.
- Ensuring distribution reports based on the cash/food logs/ manifests and the independent way bills.
- Ensuring copies of all documents including but not limited to food/cash log, complaint records and coupons are properly kept.
- Document complaints and submit to the concerned offices of UNHCR and OPM.
- Actively participate in monitoring the utilization of food commodities dispatched from the WFP stores.
- Ensure that community notice boards, ration banners are in place and functional.
- Participate in data entry in WFP corporate systems
- Participate in developing weekly and monthly schedules
- Work hand in hand with the field monitor to compile and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Participate in other monitoring and evaluation activities as assigned from time to time
- Participate in training of FMCs, RWCs, food clerks and other stakeholders.
- Participate in mainstreaming AAP across all WFP activities
- Perform any other duty as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the United Nations UN World Food Programme (WFP) Business Support Assistant (Programme) job placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree
- One or more years of experience in general administrative work.
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as photocopiers and scanners.
- Ability to follow standard business support processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of standard office software packages, e.g. Microsoft word.
- Ability to provide information using courtesy and tact.
- Keen attention to details.
- Language: Fluency in both oral and written English; Sound knowledge of regional local dialects is very desirable
