Reports to: Senior Information and Communications Officer .
About US:
The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), established by the Equal Opportunities Act of 2007 is mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances, which exist against the marginalized groups while promoting equal opportunities for all.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a framework for defining EOC Information Communications needs.
- Develop and implement EOC media engagement plans and strategies for popularizing the services and activities of the Commission in line with a media management policy.
- Develop schedules for press conferences, media talk shows and #: reception with media houses in line with EOC media management policy.
- Produce EOC’s IEC materials including newsletters, brochures calendars and posters and online media services, websites, documentaries in line with EOC media management policy.
- Develop and implement a framework for ensuring custody of all media pint, recordings and documentaries.
- Develop and implement strategies for protecting EOC reputation the public and among stakeholders in line with the media management and stakeholder’s management policy.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Applicants should have an Honors Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Mass Media, Law and Management Studies.
- Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations, Media or Mass Communication will be an added advantage.
- At least two years of relevant experience in Government or equivalent level of working experience from a reputable organization in Information and Communications related field.

- Demonstrate excellent communication and networking competences high-level interpersonal, collaborative and cross-cultural skills
- Analytical and conceptual skills for business management and growth High level of integrity and transparency
- Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills.
- Ability to deal with competing demands
- Proficiency in computer and computer packages
- Demonstrate hands on experience in modern communication and public information and communications related field.
