Job Summary: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will utilize the Watoto brand voice and standards to effectively communicate the Watoto Church story across various platforms to raise awareness and support for Watoto Church initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To safeguard branding integrity throughout Watoto Church using the Watoto brand voice, style and standards
- To develop strategies to build and grow brand awareness and support of Watoto Church initiatives
- To create all public outgoing communications such as press releases, newsletters, marketing & communications collateral, and select donor stewardship pieces
- To ensure all legal and quality assurance procedures are adhered to
- To build good rapport and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- To make any relevant calls, and manage incoming calls relating to public and media relations and, in the event of any crises, implement and disseminate the set Crisis Communications plan
- To supervise the administrative processes involved with Watoto Church Communication/Marketing projects
- To manage vendor relationships with printers, and oversee production of all branded materials used for Watoto Church
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications/Marketing and/or any other related field
- The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working in a similar role with at least one year experience specifically in Project Management
- A good understanding of branding, advertising and communications is an added advantage
- Knowledge of Adobe products and communicating on social media platforms
- Must be flexible, adaptable, creative and able to work under minimum supervision
