ACORD has been working in Uganda since 1979 with operations in over 25 districts across Uganda. The ACORD-U works in conjunction with people who have been denied their basic rights, helping to better understand, to challenge, and to change the situation in which they find themselves.
About USAID KCHS Project:
The Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development-Uganda (ACORD-U), received grants from USAID, to implement the “Keeping Children Healthy and Safe (KCHS) Activity” in South Western Uganda (Sheema, Mitooma, Kazo, Kiruhura and Ibanda Districts).
Job Summary: The Cluster Manager (Regional Manager) will head the KCHS Activity management unit and provide overall prudent KCHS management support in compliance with USAID policies and regulations. He/She will supervise and support KCHS project staff across 05 districts in south western Uganda. The Cluster Manager will be supported by the ACORD-Uganda Programme Development Coordinator. He/She will work with the DOP, Financial and Administration Manager and Technical Team to ensure the KCHS grant adheres to approved frameworks. He/she will ensure that key processes are in place to manage grant risk assessments, donor financial compliance and reporting management processes
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Social work and Social Administration, business management, finance and administration or a related field.
- A master’s in a related field is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in managing financial and administrative components of grants, specifically the candidate should possess experience with USAID contracting and grant mechanism
- Extensive knowledge of USAID financial management systems, regulation, and reporting requirements
