About us:
Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute (MTI) was established to respond to the increasing demand for health professionals in Uganda and the region. The products of the institute will be able to work both locally, nationally and internationally. The institute was conceived in March 2008 and registered in August 2008
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To oversee and direct all student admission, registration, examination and graduation activities of the Institute.
- Monitoring and reviewing the way Tutors and Clinical Instructors deliver programmes.
- Ensure that Tutors and Clinical Instructors adhere/comply to the set systems (teaching, practicum supervision & examination time tables, etc.) of the teaching process.
- Data gathering by monitoring and tracking attendance of both Tutors and students in classroom and practicum sites.
- Monitor the availability and maintenance of teaching facilities in all schools.
- Regularly gather and monitor customer feedback.
- Put in place a student and staff complaints procedure.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must have a Hons degree in Education/Management/Medical Education with at least 2 years’ experience in education management.
- Experience and interest in working with data and metrics.
- Ability to safeguard confidential data, records, files and other matters internal to the office of the Academic Registrar.
- Commendable interpersonal and communication skills.
- Responsible and dependable.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Computer literate (Ms office, Power Point, Internet)
- Ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
