ACALISE MSc and PhD Scholarships for Sub-Saharan Africans at Uganda Martyrs University, 2017
The new ACALISE Scholarships is on offer to study MSc as well as PhD programme at Uganda Martyrs University. Students from Sub-Saharan Africa are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.
Uganda Martyrs University mission is to provide quality higher education, training and research for the betterment of society guided by ethical values. The vision is to be a University that is nationally and internationally recognized for excellence in teaching, learning, research, advancement of knowledge and community engagement.
Candidates who have been awarded Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees at accredited universities or similar Institutions of higher learning which issue academic documents in languages other than English shall submit notarized English translations of all supporting documentation including, but not limited to, Transcripts, degrees, and diplomas.
Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Master as well as PhD programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded for PhD in Agroecology and Food Systems and MSc in Agroecology, MSc in Monitoring and Evaluation and MSc in Development Economics.
Scholarship Award: The scholarship will be a contribution towards tuition fees as per the University fees structure. International students will in addition receive a contribution towards living costs and accommodation.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:
Eligible candidates must be citizens of a country in sub-Saharan Africa, admitted to study in any of the ACALISE Programmes listed above at Uganda Martyrs University or our partner institutions. Applicants must meet the admission conditions of Uganda Martyrs University.
Nationality: Students from sub-Saharan Africa (Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Democratic Republic), Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe) are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.
English language Requirements: Candidates who have been awarded Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees at accredited universities or similar Institutions of higher learning which issue academic documents in languages other than English shall submit notarized English translations of all supporting documentation including, but not limited to, Transcripts, degrees, and diplomas. The academic levels or equivalence of the qualifications obtained from foreign institutions must be authenticated by the Uganda National Council of Higher Education (NCHE).
