Job Summary:
Bank of Africa is seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead and manage its Kampala branch. The role involves overseeing business growth, relationship management, customer service, operations, and risk management in accordance with the bank’s strategies and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a business strategy for the branch aligned with the bank’s goals.
  • Identify business opportunities in the market to achieve business targets.
  • Monitor and enhance financial performance to grow branch earnings and profitability.
  • Prepare and present quality credit proposals and guide the team in acquiring quality credit business.
  • Foster a culture of excellent service and quality relationship management to retain customers and expand the bank’s share.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and regulations.
  • Oversee daily operations for operational efficiency.
  • Manage credit portfolio and support debt recovery efforts.
  • Provide regular branch reports to management.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the branch team through performance management and training.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional or post-graduate qualifications in Finance, Marketing, or related fields are advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in financial business development, with exposure to operations.
  • Proven experience in direct selling, sales management, and relationship management.
  • Understanding of the bank’s policies, processes, and procedures, as well as industry and national economic trends.
