Rice Stop Ltd is a leading restaurant that is located in Kansanga.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The head chef will train and manage kitchen personnel.
- Supervise and coordinate all related culinary.
- Select and develop recipes.
- Standardise production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Establish presentation techniques and quality standards.
- Ensure proper equipment and operational maintenance.
- Ensure food safety from purchasing from purchasing, storing, prepping and cooking by enhancing laid down food safety policies.
- Oversees special catering events and may also offer culinary instructions and demonstrate culinary techniques.
- The head chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for disciplining and performance reviews.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a diploma or degree in catering.
- Four or more years of experience in culinary management activities.
- Previous experience with food cost control demonstration cooking.
- Menu development and pricing.
- Development of culinary team preferred.
- Premise and liability accountability.
- Excellent cooking skills and professionalism.
- An understanding of produce and ingredients.
- Ability to cost and write down recipes.
- Know how to use a point of sale back office system and ability to use the system.
- Ability to use the system of tract inventory and goods.
- Creative enough to develop and play around with recipes without supervision.
- Idea about the western dishes i.e burgers, sand wish, pizza and Eritrean dishes.
