Job Summary: The Country Operations and Administration Coordinator provides direct management and technical oversight, monitoring, as well as remote and in-person capacity building for all Operations and Supply Chain staff, throughout the full portfolio of ARC Uganda operations and programming – including Procurement, Fleet Warehousing, Security, Asset/Inventory Management, Administration, IT & Compliance/Legal aspects of the department. S/he will directly supervise Operations, Procurement and Logistics Leads at the national level. In addition, indirect supervision/ support for all field based Operations leads; and ensures that all related ARC policies and procedures are strictly adhered to for quality and accountability.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the American Refugee Committee (ARC) Country Operations and Administration Coordinator job must hold a Master’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Humanitarian Logistics or related.
- At least five (5) years direct or similar experience, serving with development or relief agencies working in complex emergencies and/or development settings.
- Knowledge of donors procurement and contractual policies (USGOV, UN, ECHO, DFID, and similar.
- At least seven (7) years’ demonstrated experience in working with multi-donors (Including UN. US Government. ECHO, DFID etc), multi-site grants or projects in similar capacity.
- Substantial experience in operations & Logistics. Contracts and country program administration & management.
- At least 5 years’ experience with NGOs or other development/aid agencies in supply chain management including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management at a senior level.
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
- Background in policy formulation, process design, and quality management
- High proficiency in both written and spoken English, and strong analytical, written and verbal skills.
