Crawford Fund Derek Tribe Award:

The Crawford Fund Derek Tribe Award is made biennially in recognition of distinguished contributions to the applicationof research in agriculture and natural resource management in a developing country or countries.

The aim of the Fellowship is to provide further training of a scientist in agriculture, fisheries or forestry from a selected group of developing countries whose work has shown significant potential.

The training will take place at an Australian agricultural institution and will emphasize the application of knowledge to increased agricultural production in the Fellow’s home country.

Award Application Eligibility Criteria:

The Award is open to citizens of developing countries.

  • Candidate’s professional reputation and the impact of his/her contributions in the application of research in agriculture and natural resource management in a developing country or countries.
  • Some preference shall be given to younger nominees.
  • Public lecturing abilities of the nominees.Please attach:
  • Candidate’s curriculum vitae.
  • List of candidate’s 20 most significant publications.
  • Proposed itinerary.
  • Proposed budget detailing overseas and local airfares and other expected costs.
