Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung Africa is part of the Germany based foundation “Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung” (HRNS), a not-for-profit organization established in 2005. With the objective of promoting sustainable development, HRNS implements hands-on projects to improve working and living conditions of small-scale coffee farmers. Its activities concentrate on the economic and social development of producer communities by enhancing their competitiveness, forming and strengthening farmer organizations, creating better market linkages and promoting access to important support services, while at the same time promoting sustainable coffee farming and long-term use of natural resources.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Field Officer, Agronomy and Climate Change must hold a university degree in agriculture or related field
- A minimum of five years of experience working with agricultural cooperatives in rural communities/locations.
- Basic knowledge and experience in agronomy and climate change adaptation in coffee will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of the Luganda language is required
- Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid riding license & at least two years of riding experience
