Job Summary:
The ICT Support Officer will offer technical support for computer applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide appropriate solutions. This role involves first-line support for IT peripherals, diagnosing hardware/software issues, installing/configuring software, and ensuring system security.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
- Install, configure, and update software applications used in the banking environment.
- Collaborate on system upgrades and improvements.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Respond to IT support tickets and service requests effectively.
- Conduct end-user training on IT-related topics.
- Document and maintain records of IT issues and solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry practices.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, MCITP, or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience in IT support, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
- Familiarity with banking software and systems.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and data protection.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
