Job Summary:  The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer works closely with the EWB-USA technical team as well as Partners to provide an ongoing and dynamic picture of project implementation and impact in the target areas..

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Designing and managing effective monitoring systems to guide management decisions
  • Managing and analyzing spatially-complex project data using geographic information systems (GIS)
  • Ensuring accuracy and transparency in project reporting of results
  • Spearheading operational research to capture critical learning opportunities from project implementation
  • Developing professional products and publications to share with project partners and external stakeholders

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Public Health, Social Science, Statistics, Business Administration or related field. Further training in M&E, GIS, and experience in engineering will be an added advantage.
  • Appropriate experience in Monitoring & Evaluation work in a humanitarian/NGO setting. Experience with developing and delivering knowledge sharing programs. Proven experience in the use of GIS to monitor and evaluate complex spatial data.
  • Thorough experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation in relief and development programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Understanding of data and information needs for program management and decision making
  • High level English language proficiency
  • Analytical and computer literate including MS Office skills
