Oxfam, a global movement working to end the injustice of poverty, is looking for a ReCIPE Project Assistant to join their team in Kampala, Uganda. Job Summary: The ReCIPE Project Assistant will work closely with the Program Manager Governance & Accountability and the program team to implement project activities and ensure effective partner support and project management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the ReCIPE project and ensure timely partner reporting in compliance with donor and Oxfam procedures.
  • Prepare project documents, summaries, and reviews.
  • Support partners throughout the project cycle, ensuring adherence to Oxfam standards and objectives.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of partner organizations.
  • Participate in meetings with partner organizations and multi-stakeholder platforms.
  • Assist in the MEAL system, including monitoring visits, documentation, and project evaluations.
  • Support project finance officers in monitoring financial reports and conducting partner audits.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for project implementation.
  • Adhere to Oxfam’s principles, values, and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Governance, Development Studies, Law, Social Sciences, International Development, Information Technology, or a related field. A postgraduate diploma in monitoring and evaluation is desirable.
  • At least 1-year experience in human rights, civic engagement, or digital rights.
  • Coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ending inequality and injustice, promoting human rights, and understanding of gender/gender mainstreaming.
  • Desirable: Basic understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning, and database management skills.
