About Us:
Protecting Families Against HIV/AIDS (PREFA) is an indigenous Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was formed to contribute to Uganda’s efforts in enhancing access to quality HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment, and support services to families with a historical focus on Elimination of Mother-to-Child Transmission (eMTCT) of HIV.
Job Summary: The Stores Attendant will provide stores and logistics support and monitor proper accountability of goods and manage the courier system of the organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Stores Management:
- Receive supplies and equipment and compile records, count quantity, check quality, document the received items in good received notes and stock card accurately.
- The incumbent stores supplies and equipment are well kept in respective store rooms and well labeled.
- Issue/dispatch of supplies to staff with approved request at all levels.
- Follow-up returned goods outward notes; confirm delivery of dispatched goods to districts and health facilities.
- Conduct stock taking on a monthly basis and compile monthly stockreport.
- Maintain stock levels update stocks card for goods in, goods out and returned goods.
- Maintain neat, clean and organized stores.
- Maintain accurate record keeping system, develop and maintain a well-functioning filing system that facilitates safety and easy retrieval of documents.
- Keep the inventory tracker of issued out items to districts, health facilities and schools updated.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the PREFA Stores Attendant job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and supply chain management, Office administration, Stores management and any other related fields.
- One year of relevant experience in logistics and stores management in an NGO setting.
- Good computer skills especially Microsoft office applications, Interpersonal skills, Communication skills and problem solving skills.
