Job Summary: The Technical Support Officer is responsible for the proper installation and configuration of company hardware devices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Fleet management products on the database.
- Follow the company’s standard operating policies and procedures including established escalation procedures
- Ensure that company resources are well utilized like tools, phones, and laptops.
- Responding to call-outs in a timely fashion.
- Collect relevant technical details to effectively troubleshoot reported issues.
- Perform complete, accurate, and timely entry of information into CRM tool for all incidents/support requests (e.g. gather and document required information from customers).
- Prepare a quality checklist, Job cards, work reports, and other documentation that may be required in the department.
- Customer liaison (attend to their queries)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- At least a diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Its equivalent
- One to two years of experience in a relevant field
- Previous experience of mechanical Engineering
- Expert knowledge in electrical circuit interpretation.
- Ability to identify color cording.
- Basics of instrumentation and control system.
- Basics of Automotive Engineering.
- Knowledge in Telecommunication systems
- Wider knowledge in computer applications.
- Expert knowledge in how operating systems and software works.
- Logical thinking.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Interpersonal skills as you will regularly be in contact with colleagues and/or customers.
