Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Control Officer will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the Enhanced Framework for Implementing with Partners and Direct Implementation. This role involves risk analysis, policy compliance, operational practices assessment, and technical recommendations or decisions in line with UN/UNHCR financial rules and operational context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate partner relationships, providing oversight on the effective management of partnerships and direct implementation.
  • Conduct risk analysis associated with partnerships and direct implementation, ensuring compliance with policies and operational practices.
  • Promote partnership integrity and safeguarding mechanisms for accountability and efficient use of funds.
  • Facilitate dialogue and consultations to strengthen partnerships, maintaining contact with various stakeholders.
  • Oversee project control functions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree with one year of relevant experience, or a Graduate degree or Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of international auditing standards.
  • Experience with accrual accounting (IPSAS or IFRS) is desirable.
  • Proficiency in financial auditing, project monitoring, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong communication, reporting, monitoring, evaluation, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English and the local language.
