FH/U is a Christian international relief and development organization working in Uganda since 1989. FH operates in Asia, Latin America, and Africa, focusing on ending poverty in various forms. In Uganda, FH is operational in several districts, implementing programs in education, food security, health/nutrition, and disaster risk reduction.

Job Summary:
The Logistics & Procurement Coordinator will oversee complex procurements and logistics operations. This role involves leadership, oversight in procurement, handling high-profile procurements, and acting as a deputy to the Logistics Manager. The Coordinator will ensure efficient procurement and logistics operations, support program planning, and engage in strategic and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Planning and Management: Lead procurement planning, manage budgets, conduct market surveys, and liaise with program teams to ensure timely execution of procurements.
  • Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify potential service providers, manage vendor relationships, and conduct market surveys.
  • Contract Management and Monitoring: Administer contract documents, manage contract implementation, and ensure compliance with terms.
  • Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
    • Professional Qualification/Certification in Procurement.
    • Post Graduate Qualification in a related field is an added advantage.
    • 5-7 years of experience in procurement and logistics in an INGO environment.
    • Knowledge of donor requirements and procurement reporting.
    • Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
