Job Summary:
The Manager – Enterprise Fixed & ICT Products will ensure that MTN Uganda’s Enterprise Business Unit (EBU) leads in the telecommunications and IT solutions market. They will manage the Fixed and ICT portfolio effectively to meet the demands of the company’s target market, support sales, and drive commercial success. This role involves overseeing the design and development of the Fixed and ICT product portfolio.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Product Management:
    • Manage each product through its lifecycle, ensuring revenue targets are met.
    • Conduct competitive benchmarking and identify new revenue opportunities.
    • Analyze product value chains and manage margins within agreed parameters.
  2. New Product Development:
    • Drive product development projects to completion on time and budget.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to define product specifications.
    • Manage existing product portfolios and propose improvements.
  3. Pricing and Sales Support:
    • Work with pricing teams to maintain costing models and improve margins.
    • Support sales teams in driving revenue and concluding important deals.
    • Assist in adjusting rates and developing collateral for product promotion.
  4. Research and Marketing:
    • Execute go-to-market strategies for products.
    • Propose and implement promotional campaigns.
    • Conduct competitive analysis and contribute to market research.
  5. Information Sharing and Reporting:
    • Provide meaningful intelligence to senior management.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required.
    • Stay updated on technical and industry developments.
  6. Customer Relations and Satisfaction:
    • Liaise with customers to understand support requirements.
    • Resolve complaints and ensure customer needs are met.
    • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
  7. Quality Management and Improvement:
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
    • Maintain operational performance and quality standards.
    • Seek feedback for continuous improvement.
  8. Project Management:
    • Lead and execute agreed projects.
    • Monitor project implementation and compliance.
    • Manage project budgets and contracts.
  9. Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Evaluate project team performance and provide training.
    • Foster teamwork and professionalism.
    • Manage employee relations and development.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
  • Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communication, Finance, or related field is advantageous.
  • Certification in Cloud, Security, IOT, or Unified Communication and Collaboration is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management leadership in the ICT industry.
  • Experience in technology sales, pre-sales support, and team management.
  • Strong business planning, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, rapidly changing environment.
