Job Summary: The Marketing Account Executive, you act as a key link between the company, its Stakeholders especially Clients and Contractors. You are mandated to understand the Client’s organizational goals, and then organise the company’s Planning, Creative and Administrative staff to drive them towards developing effective Strategies and Creative material in order to ensure customer satisfaction and growth. Client acquisition is also a key responsibility for this role. Effective and articulate communication between all parties is therefore a foundational responsibility for this role. The post operates in a team environment and will be expected to work in a collaborative way with Staff, Associates and Volunteer colleagues. From time to time the post requires an element of working unsocial hours including weekend work and travel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management
- Understand the Clients’ business goals
- Co-ordinate with the company’s Business and Marketing Planning team to develop individual strategies for the Organization’s Clients
- Initiate, coordinate, and oversee all the Firm’s activities on behalf of the client
- Manage day-to-day Client-Consultant communication
- Report progress, delays and make sure the Client is always in the know
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all activities on the client’s behalf
- Work with the internal team to exceed the client’s expectations and build Client loyalty
- New Business Development
- Identify and cultivate for new business opportunities
- Propose, upsell to the Client the company’s other offers
- Continuously offer unsolicited ideas to increase the effectiveness of the Client’s company and marketing activities
- Provide periodic reports (frequency to be agreed with line manager) on status and development of Client relationship, and plans to increase wallet share of the relationship
- Closely control the client’s budget and timeline—to maximize ROI for both the Client and the Firm Strategic Planning Support
- Provide support to the Planning Specialists in the process of developing Strategic plans for the Clientele.
- Co-ordinate all Planning Specialists (internal and external) to ensure their active involvement in the planning process
- Participate in all Planning events.
- Project Management
Provide leadership in the management of all Client Projects as follows:
- Planning and defining Project scope
- Activity Planning and Sequencing
- Resource Planning
- Developing Schedules
- Time Estimating
- Cost Estimating
- Budget Development
- Documentation Management
Other
- Undertake other duties and projects from time to time as requested by manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a degree in any discipline although preference will be made for Marketing, Communication, Social or Behavioural Science or Business Management disciplines.
- Basic appreciation of Marketing and/or Communication principles
- Three years’ experience in a similar role is desirable
- Report writing skills a must
- Project Management skills are a must
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Proven or quickly demonstrable analytical skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
