MEAL Officer NGO Careers – World Vision Uganda (WVU)
World Vision Uganda (WVU) is inviting applications for the position of MEAL Officer to be stationed in Kamwenge, Uganda. This position reports to the Programme Manager.

Job Summary: The MEAL Officer will be responsible for providing technical guidance on program/project planning, development, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning. This includes maintaining systems to collect and analyze information on activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact of the program/projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management: Establish and monitor a robust MEAL system, develop performance-monitoring tools, and provide guidance on the Annual Review and Planning process.
- Project Monitoring: Collect and process data on project activities, conduct project output and outcome level monitoring, and provide monitoring reports.
- Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting: Analyze data, prepare various reports, and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Project Documentation and Learning: Compile progress reports and promote utilization of data/information for decision-making and learning.
- Assessments, Evaluations, and Research: Guide and conduct project assessments, baselines, and evaluations.
- Information Management Systems: Develop and utilize project information management systems, including databases.
- Capacity Building: Provide technical support and build capacity of project staff and stakeholders in monitoring and evaluation.
- Other Duties: As assigned by the MEAL Manager, in support of the overall MEAL agenda and organizational objectives.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematics, Public health, Demography, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in data management, research, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proficiency in statistical data management packages/software.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Capacity for leadership, relationship management, and coordination.
