Key Duties and Responsibilities:
General responsibilities
- Assist in designing data collection methods and tools to be used in monitoring of field activities
- Support the program teams in needs assessment, baseline, outputs and outcome monitoring and evaluation of on-going activities
- Prepare and submit periodic M&E reports as per the agreed reporting schedules per project
- Conduct routine monitoring and follow up of project activities
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of all project documents as required
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
Specific responsibilities
- Responsible for Managing, recording, sharing, following up and consolidating community feedback of NRC activities and ensure those feedbacks are shared with the team
- Work closely with the program teams and M&E
- Responsible for collections, entry, cleaning and analysis of data
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant job must hold a university degree in social sciences, statistics, information systems management or related qualifications
- Additional Qualifications in Monitoring and Evaluation, and / or Project Planning and Management will be an advantage
- At least one year of experiences in M&E department; exposure in an NGO environment is an advantage
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to receive, handle and store confidential project information
- Fluency in both oral and written English and Knowledge of Kiswahili or Runyakitara

- Able to work under pressure, with minimum supervision
