Job Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist is primarily responsible for performing monitoring, evaluation and learning aspects within the Country Program following established standards and procedures. This position requires travel to remote locations within Uganda to support the implementation of the M & E framework at all levels.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Keenly review and develop a clear ME&L framework for the WASH Program.
  • Develop relevant database for the projects and ensure baselines and end lines surveys are conducted.
  • Upload study results, lessons and share programme/projects reports with partners across the implementation land scape.
  • Supervise regular data collection through implementing partners and ensure quality of the data by random verifications and validations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Water Mission Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Planning, Economics or Social Sciences or any other related field to Monitoring and Evaluation
  • At least four years’ experience in statistics and/or M&E for Water Sanitation and Hygiene Programs.
  • Proficiency in databases, computer application tools (including statistics analysis, Ms Project and Spread sheets)
  • Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills.
  • Resides near our head office in Jinja
