Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The job holder will be responsible for assisting the Senior Health Safety Environment (HSE) Engineer in developing and updating the Company’s Health Safety, Social, Security& Environment (H3SE) system which includes procedures, reporting and H3SE training in compliance with the Company’s Referential and Ugandan Regulations.
- Ensuring implementation.
- Schedule meetings with contractors to assist them with their HSE Management systems.
- Preparing reports for both internal and external use and ensuring that the reports are in line with Group procedures.
- Record of HSE events/activities in Synergy.
- Furthermore coordination, implementation of the Company’s emergency response system.
- Ensuring that incident , accident and anomaly reports are performed and analyzed.
- In addition to carrying out cause tree analyses for incidents.
- Promoting the use of synergy and training users in the affiliate.
- Actively participate in the communication of procedures and best practices in Health & Safety.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidates for the TOTAL Operations (OPS) HSE Reporting Engineer job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in science or equivalent in a technical field preferably Occupational Health & Safety or Chemical Engineering.
- At least three years of experience in Oil and Gas with proven background in Health & Safety in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Knowledge in Health & Safety reporting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
