Job Summary: The Operations Manager Cash In-Transit will mainly maintain an efficient and effective management of all aspects of physical security and provide a professional interface with the public ensuring that protections are in place and business is properly and appropriately secured. ‘
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide effective leadership to the existing Cash in transit team
- Develop a clear staff training program for the department
- Debt management on all Cash in Transit customers
- Manage and maintain motor vehicle inspection on security features
- Ensure that all business recovery/contingency plans held within the company are always kept up-to-date
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public administration and or related field.
- Special training in cash management operations & bank experience is’ an added advantage
- Eight years’ experience in physical security & ATM (Automotive teller machines) management.
- Highly enthusiastic and committed approach with a track record of building strong trusted base relationship with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- A sound working knowledge of cash management operations and its legislation
- Experience in developing working administrative systems for a department
- Building a strong security management system
- Experienced negotiator
- Experienced at preparing and managing budgets
- Thorough knowledge of physical security is an added advantage
- Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and Engagement skills
- Sound judgment and decision making skills with hands on problem solving approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.
- Ability to organize a demanding workload and work within tight deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability of writing procedures, drafting reports, preparing business cases and compiling and adjusting duty rosters to meet short falls in staffing levels
