Job Summary:  We are currently seeking to recruit an OD, L&D Manager based at Kampala. As an OD, L&D Manager you will report directly to the Human Resources Director

Key Purpose Statement: Define, drive and implement the CCBA organization’s Learning & Development strategies, OD strategic priorities, and plans, linked to key strategic imperatives, enabling the building of sustainable organizational capabilities, systemic implementation of change, and continuous improvement to optimize business performance. Anticipate human capital requirements and develop strategies to source, attract, select, develop, retain, promote, and deploy employees throughout the organization, creating a high-performance, sustainable organization that meets its strategic and operational goals and objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with post-graduate HR qualification, or equivalent
  • Added advantage: Master’s degree in HR Management / Business Management / Industrial Psychology, or equivalent
  • A total of 10 – 15 years of experience and knowledge of consulting, ideally a combination of external and internal consulting roles, incredible consulting companies, and fast-changing industries, with a track record of non-continuous change initiatives
  • Hands-on experience in managing people, managing complexity in HR, and Talent Management.
  • Experience in leading projects in complicated stakeholder/organizational environments
  • Experience in planning, managing, and anchoring large change initiatives that require coordination across a number of elements [organization, measures, processes, etc.]
  • Commercial and pragmatic orientation
  • An appreciation of enabling HR processes, specifically talent management, performance management, grading architecture, and job descriptions
