Sinopec Service is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The pipeline engineer will produce key deliverables in accordance with the project work scope including:
- Develop typical drawings for pipeline construction in special sections
- Develop the pipeline system schematic of this project
- Develop specification for pipeline construction
- Develop mechanical design reports
- Develop wall thickness calculation report for procurement of linepipe
- MTOs
- Develop pipeline Alignment Sheets (plan and profile).
- GIS database maintenance (In accordance with requirements of CONTRACT, including for COMPANY interface)
- Pipeline Routing in accordance with relevant codes and Optimum requirements
- Flow Assurance
- Corrosion Assessment and Corrosion Control Study
- Hydraulic Analysis
- River Crossing design
- Battery Limit/Spec break details
- Reinstatement
- Develop the typical drawings of reinstatement for pipeline construction
- Develop specification for reinstatement
- Bill Of Quantities
- Offshore Pipeline System:
- In-place analysis, expansion analysis, suspended span analysis, buckling analysis, on-bottom stability analysis and the riser part comprehensive analysis, the construction stress analysis, etc.
- Pipeline structure design, including pipeline structure drawings
- Update technical specifications, including installation of submarine pipelines, positioning, trenching, backfilling, riser and expansion bend installation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a minimum of 5 years similar working experience
- Proficient in English Language
- Knowledge of international Pipeline codes and designing specifications. Proficient in Pipeline Engineering design and site support.
- A minimum of 3 years site support experience.
- Able to provide continuous technical support with minimum supervision to the construction team during the fabrication and construction phases, to modify or complete additional engineering details as imposed by the construction needs.
- Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
- The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors.
- Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.
