About Us:
Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an international NGO promoting adult education and community development among refugees and has been active in Uganda since 1997 as an operational partner to Office of the Prime Minister and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction in implementation, leadership and management to programming.
- The Program Manager will coordinate planning processes, ensure that activities, outputs and impacts are achieved, support active monitoring and evaluation, manage and support team leaders and field teams, establish agreements and protocols with technical partners, facilitate submission of quality project reports and documents.
- Steer and manage staff ensuring clarity over strategy, plans and priorities, create opportunities for learning, ensure compliance with donor regulations and budgets.
- Build and sustain relationships and communication with stakeholders, identify and engage in relevant coordination mechanisms, communicate and share information.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) Program Manager job placement must hold a Masters’ Degree in Project / NGO Management / Development Studies / Adult Education.
- Eight years of related work experience, three of which in a managerial position preferably in an NGO setting.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and project management and design.
- Skills and experience in adult education, training and material development is a plus.
